When Music Plays in my Soul

My heart is at a construction site, often going through a recurring demolition

the sound of the scratching of a chalkboard that can only be rescued by an experienced musician

And I am like a violin, except when it isn’t  played correctly and sounds like death yearning out for you to cover your ears

or an electric keyboard with corroded keys after the spillage of my tears

except sometimes it finally does become an orchestra playing music together that lightens up the room

and I realize that feeling your emotions deeply doesn’t always have to end in doom.
