“Civilized”

Humans were made to be beautiful

Full of life and  tender-souled.

just like animals who flow gracefully with the wild, full of intricate patterns,

colors.

species that may look so similar but never the same

we were made to be animals

and we were lucky enough to be made with structure and evolve to no longer need to survive but to live

we claim that “animals” are wild beings,  distasteful, and full of rage.

Though they do not understand the concept of racisim, of inequality, of bigotry.

like we do.

like humans do.

so maybe we are not animals after all.

but somehow we are taught that we evolved to know better,

to do better.

We continue to be reproduced for the hope that we change our ways,

that we learn to live.

that ALL of us are able to live.

but call us animals,  go ahead

how are animals more humane than humans?
