Remember what you were, what you still can be
Dark times only hold the chapters that weren’t. It forces us to reminisce what used to be, what is now not.
and maybe that’s a way for us to think about the joys we’ve endured, the photographic memories we have of our radiant smiles and infectious laughs,
that the darkness does not have to be here forever, that if there was a time where we were at ease even for a day, it is more than possible to escape the sorrows we suffer from now
it is possible to relinquish the feeling of dejection and instead walk on green grass with bare feet
to not think of anything but the river that flows gracefully beside you, that speaks to you through waves, that brings you to listen
and think about how beautiful it is to be alive, when you are not forcing yourself to.
